Our Involvement

Our association was involved in several community projects which includes trainings, partnership with established organizations in helping typhoon victims by way of monetary donations as well as granting scholarship to qualified students at Northern Marianas College (NMC) to stay and work in CNMI.

Community

Relation

​​

 

NMIA has partnered with Public School System (PSS) in launching the "Adopt-A-Bus Stop" project on March 17, 2022. The bus stop is located in San Vicente.

NMIA permitted Marianas High School to temporarily use the said bus stop for the Marianas Village Pride beautification contest in which the top prize was won by MHS.

​

The association will fully adopt the bus stop comes April 1, 2023.

 

 

Information &

Education

​​

 

The association in partnership with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in CNMI hosted a training at Saipan World Resort last March 4, 2022. NMIA President Gol Corpuz and OSHA Project Manager Tim Asaivao conducted the training on (1) General Insurance Practices on Safety and (2) OSHA General Industry Safety Standards and Guidelines.

The event was attended by over 30 professionals in insurance, construction and other industrial fields.

 

 

Legislation &

Programs

Member companies of the organization are constantly in communications with CNMI Legislature in cases where the insurance industry and insuring public are affected.

 

 

Ratings &

Forms

​​

 

The rating and forms of all the members of the association are all submitted to the Office of the Insurance Commissioner-Department of Commerce.
